This my go-to breakfast for busy mornings. It’s yummy, filling, and most importantly kid approved! My boys ask for this oatmeal often and they eat every bite! I usually serve it with a few slices of nitrate-free bacon and a cup of cold ice water.
Ingredients
2 cups of rolled oats
2 cups of water
2 cups of Milk or Almond Milk
1/2 teaspoon of Ground Cinnamon
1 tablespoon of unsalted butter
1/2 cup of Raisins
2 tablespoons of dark brown sugar
2 tablespoons of white sugar
Cooking instructions
Mix ingredients well
Cook on medium-high heat for about 5 minutes until boiling then turn down to medium-low heat for 10 min.
Watch closely.
Once you see that oatmeal is thick remove from heat and allow to rest for 5 minutes before serving.
Add sugar to your liking. I usually don’t like too much sugar for my kids so I opt for the lower sugar side. What is your go-to recipe for busy mornings?

This recipe is so yummy and creamy! My family was not an oatmeal family before trying this recipe, and now it will be a morning staple. Love how you just mix everything and stir! Really is that simple for a busy morning.
